Yuridiana Basurto Lavín speaks with primary school students from Guerrero’s Costa Grande.

My role is to provide the brigadistas with the necessary information, support them during household visits and keep them supplied. I have also helped to gain the neighbourhood’s collaboration during household visits and other activities that are held, such as posters, raffles, memory games, piñatas and word searches.

I consider the most important change to be that most people are paying attention to us and they all keep their water containers sealed. Also, the brigadistas are more motivated to keep working… the ideas they provide and the way in which the team interacts are the result of real bonding.
