Lidia Magali de la Cruz Santiago, Facilitator

Lidia Magali de la Cruz Santiago and girls from her community use kites to explain the mosquito’s life cycle.

Previously, I didn’t know about the mosquito’s life cycle, so I consider it a very important change to know the necessary information and be able to share it with others, especially my family and at my workplace. It is having the satisfaction of showing the larvas to other people, since that is the evidence, and seeing people undertake actions for the common good based on it.

Each of the team members is very important in this change: the coordinators provide us with everything we need in terms of supplies and knowledge… they already have experience and they share it with us, the facilitators, who in turn share it with the brigadistas and they with their neighbours. It is a chain of information in which each member has her or his own function.
